From Green to Dark Roast Coffee

Before the industrial revolution, there was no concept of an infant day care centre. Researches show that small group size, low staff-infant ratios, and strong caregiver qualifications result in positive outcomes. It was also observed that caregivers with larger groups spent more time in management tasks and restricting behavior, and less time in one-to-one interaction and cognitive-language stimulation of the infants
These behaviors gave rise to increased apathy and distress in infants. Caregivers with little child-related formal education engaged in less frequent positive adult-infant interactions and were less likely to have a developmentally appropriate program. According to the Accreditation Criteria of the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (Bredekamp, 1984), the optimum standard specifies a maximum group size of 8 and a staff-child ratio of 1:4 for infants under 12 months. For infants of 1 to 2 years, maximum group size should be 12, and staff-child ratio 1:4. The lead teacher in an infant center should have a baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or child development.

Caffeine Content in Dark Roast Coffee

Now, interestingly, if you measure the coffee by volume, you will have lesser caffeine in dark roast coffee because the beans lose their density in the roasting process and thus are lighter.

So measurement with scoop will result in less caffeine level and measurement by weight will lead to higher caffeine levels per cup. So it all depends on how you measure your coffee’s caffeine contents. The differences that you will notice will not be very large. Moreover, this disparity only arises if you have identical cups of coffee under analysis.

It is plausible only if you are comparing two available brewed coffees that a differentiation in varietals among them could make them have as much effect as the roast and the preparation method will almost certainly had a larger effect than the roast level or varietal. If there is a Robusta in one of the coffees it is almost guaranteed to have more caffeine. This is mostly a scholastic debate because the differences in caffeine content are relatively very small and difficult to find out.
